For years my dreams remained a peculiar occurrence of being alive. I could not make much out of them and only occasionally would seek interpretations that were never that satisfactory, so I disregarded writing them down – I simply did not see the value in doing so. Sharing them was also bizarre, people around me stared at me blank-faced; what else is new?
At some point around the year 2000, circumstances in my life began appearing purposeful, predestined, and unmistakably sacred, and they started showing in my dreams with extraordinary clarity and precision. I felt compelled to write them down, but it was overwhelming; I drifted into other dimensions at every turn, and after a few years I was beyond exhausted. I felt forced to partially close my connection because I did not know how to manage my energy.
On January 1, 2016, while in a magical town near Mexico City, I woke up knowing I had been reminded to keep documenting my dreams, but difficult periods continued to create gaps in my records. I am certain it was not the only time this happened, though, of course, I did not document the previous ones and cannot remember if there were subsequent reminders. Still, I didn’t pay that much attention until the COVID Summer of 2020; while in isolation I had nothing else to do and turned my attention to it.
Quite an undertaking it turned out to be! From dawn to dusk, I spent three months reviewing my notes and creating a rudimentary catalog with an ineffective color-coding system.
I started by writing down the dreams that had left an indelible mark on me, although I am sure I had lost vast amounts of details by then. Then I read every journal I had ever written, went through years of WhatsApp conversations with friends to locate dates, and retrieved backups of e-mails I no longer used.
To my complete frustration, I repeatedly found something like “I had been dreaming with XXX, I need to tell you!” or “I dreamt with you last night, it was awesome, let’s talk!” No, not funny. Then it dawned on me.
In all those years it never occurred to me that in time I would have the tools and the context to unravel them, and now I know that looking back on your dreams, with the eyes of the New You, turns them into some kind of treasure: being consistent in the documentation is essential.
Nevertheless, despite my wavering discipline, by August 2020 I managed to create my repository with 650 references. Not every reference is a dream, some are encounters with the essence of energies, some are a knowingness, and many are actual stories.
When I completed the task, I then created a worksheet to see how my dreaming activity had evolved over the years – a completely manual and tedious process, but enlightening. I realized that what matters most with dreams are the stories that they build over time. And I found out that being able to register and analyze dreams with the appropriate tool is essential, too
From doing all of this I also learned what was relevant to document, and what one should be looking for when writing one’s dreams down. Now I pay close attention, and do not hesitate to put in the effort; in only a couple of years I have added 230 references (yes, I had to count them one by one) and the exploration continues to be fascinating to me.
As for the catalogue, when I want to use my dreams to write stories, I don’t necessarily find what I am looking for easily. As of April 2022, I have read the original 650 and the additional 230 several times looking for specific things – I read all of them, each time! I now know that using consistent tagging makes it so much easier.
Finally, I needed to share!… with whomever was willing to listen, so I started a blog on Medium in October of 2020. I have been finding my voice ever since through writing stories that are relevant to me, and that I figure may be relevant to someone else in the future.
I am aware that the amount of experiences in dreams that faded away over the years is astonishing; do not let that happen to you, and frankly, don’t miss the opportunity to share your magic with the world, and inspire us all. If you don’t do it here, where else?
Interestingly enough, the passion is beyond
dreams, it’s fundamentally about bridging
realities. I am all for it and hope you are, too.
Welcome to the adventure!
May your dreams transform the world
Many things you can
retrieve, but not dreams.
Even with a reservoir of over a thousand dreams, cataloged over the course of +20 years, it hurts to acknowledge that countless formidable experiences faded away because of lack of time, exhaustion, trying periods, indolence, and my unawareness of how important it was to document them, and do so appropriately. Many things you can revisit, rescue, and retrieve, but not dreams.
I now know that dreams make fantastic stories over time and they allow you to take a meaningful in-depth look at your inner world and the makings of reality. Furthermore, some dreams are pearls of wisdom and it is a clear dreamer’s duty to document them for the world.
Dreams inform and transform you in a way few things can, and when looking back at them, with the eyes of the new you, they turn into some kind of treasure.
On June 6, 2011, the first night of Crimson Circle’s Keahak I, I spent all morning between sleep and awake, avoiding the fact that I had just quit smoking. We had been asked to come up with a Keahak name, and mine was built that morning, in a couple of hours within the dream state, without the participation of my conscious mind. Back then I wrote: “It sounds so far away, produces goosebumps and me wanting to take a deep breath: ‘Aberdeem’.”
Angels were assisting me in building the name. The first part was clear: Aber. In that state it reminded me of the brand Abercrombie & Fitch, so I thought it was nice. But there was this back and forth between Aberdeen and Aberdeem, whoever was coaching me wanted to make sure that I was clear about the final letter: an “m,” in this case. Yes, they asked and I was positive, my Keahak name should be Aberdeem.
The suffix seemed Arabic and later on, as I Googled my new name, and found out that there is a city in Scotland by the name of Aberdeen (with an N).
There was nothing else I could relate my name to. I only knew how it felt: “From far away, like elfin, like forest and fresh, nor feminine or masculine, like autumn in the northern USA, like apples, too. It is open, clear, frank, kind of pure, white… it is me, it is mine.”

“This idea, this concept of yours to have a platform for people around the world, to discuss the dreams, to post their dreams, to talk about their dreams, and it’s not really about their dreams. It’s about dreaming. What is dreaming?
It’s about delivering now an understanding of dreams that simply isn’t on the planet right now. And it doesn’t have to get terribly metaphysical, woo-woo or anything like that. People are really searching for meaning in their dreams.”
Building a dreamer’s app that is truly a dream takes a village.
Everything will be tested beginning with the concept and continuing with the prototype, usability, CTAs, pricing, and satisfaction. We will also validate assumptions and discover new features.
From time to time you will receive instructions to complete some very simple and fun tests and invitations for short dreamer-interviews that will give us the feedback we need to continue building this dreamer’s dream.
Thank you for walking this path with us.
May all your dreams also come true, A Thousand Dream’s Team
At A Thousand Dreams, we know that you want to derive meaning from your dreams. To achieve that, you need to document your dreams systematically and analyze the data. The problem is that doing so with ordinary tools is time-consuming and exhausting; even if you are persistent enough and manage to gain insights, keeping your dreams and findings to yourself is not that much fun.
We believe that the dreamers of this world deserve a tool that makes dream management easy, data analysis meaningful, sharing joyful, and research inspiring. After all, it is through dreams that we transform our reality and inspire a better world.
After years of documenting dreams, of observing how they build stories over time, and of marveling at the richness they offer when we look back on them, we know that you shouldn’t allow dreams to fade away and we also know how to spare you the unnecessary effort to derive meaning out of them.
Here’s how to do it:
1. When the app is ready, document your dreams easily with our recorder and speech-to-text converter, edit the transcription, fill out relevant fields, and add your personal tagging.
2. Analyze the data and track your progress with our temporal approach.
3. Share the dreams you choose to share and connect with other dreamers.
With only 11 USD reserve now the best deal on the app; it will be made available when we launch the crowdfunding campaign in July 2024. The MVP will be ready 6 months after we crowdfund enough investment capital and the evolution of the app will be a continual process of improvement.
Send us an email at dreams@athousanddreams.world if you are curious about this or if you are interested not only in reserving but also in donating or investing. We will be happy to hear from you.
In any case, make sure to discover your dreaming profile with our unique quiz. And when the time comes, stop feeling exhausted by dream exploration and instead live inspired by your own dreams and the dreams of the world.
May you live inspired by your dreams,
A Thousand Dreams’ Team
In Egypt, Greece, Rome and so many other cultures in the world dream incubation was performed with the purpose of healing, retrieving lost parts of the soul, and receiving guidance. Not only were dreams professionally sought after in the more than 300 dreaming temples in and around The Mediterranean, but they were also bought and sold.
But the sacred nature of dreams, at one time recognized in every corner of the world, was progressively misunderstood, especially in Western civilization, until it became accepted that dreams were “unremarkable by-products of psychological disturbances or bad digestion that possessed no real value”.
At A Thousand Dreams, we believe that dreams are not only a source of inspiration and wisdom and a place for adventures, but also a path to enlightenment.; by remembering how to receive the wisdom they provide, we become our own gurus. No more need for healers, shamans, psychotherapists, or coaches because the inspiration we receive in dreams comes directly from our Soul.
Here’s how to do it:
